Nancy J. Heckelman, 72, of Norwalk, Ohio, died Wednesday, February 1, 2012 in her home.

She was born January 5, 1940 in Findlay, Ohio to the late Anthony A. and Martha (Rahrig) Lather and came to this area in 1960 from Findlay.

Nancy was a 1958 graduate of Findlay High School and attended The Ohio State University. She was a second grade teacher at Norwalk Maplehurst School and the former secretary for the principal at Pleasant Street School. Nancy retired with 38 years of service as the treasurer of Dan-Mar Corp. of Huron, Ohio.

July 30, 1931 -- Feb. 1, 2012

Donald C. Cunningham, age 80, of Plymouth, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at his home.

He was born on July 30, 1931 in Willard, Ohio to the late DeWitt and Pearl (Chroninger) Cunningham. Donald was a graduate of Plymouth High School and then went on to join the US Air Force.

March 5, 1939 -- Jan. 31, 2012

 Jerry Gehringer, 72, of Norwalk, died Tuesday at Gaymont Nursing Center.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; sons, Jerry, Larry and Gary Gehringer; brother, Tom Gehringer; and grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Lutheran Church.

July 4, 1927 -- Jan. 27, 2012

 Mr. Eugene Grose, age 84, passed away Friday, January 27, 2012 in Bartow. Born July 4, 1927 in Milan, Ohio, Mr. Grose had been a resident of Bartow since 1986.

He was an U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII, serving in the Sea Bees and worked as a Diesel Mechanic for many years in the trucking industry.

Mr. Grose was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Bartow. He was a Mason, Boy Scout Troop Leader, a member of the Retired Seabees, Eagles Lodge and V.F.W. in Norwalk, Ohio.

Patricia Ann Iehle, 82, of Norwalk, died early Monday morning, January 30, 2012 in Norwalk Memorial Home.
She was born April 23, 1929 in Sandusky, Ohio to the late Kenneth and Matilda E. (Marschke) Smith and was a lifelong area resident.
She was a former employee of Shady Lane Resthome, and was a local care giver. She enjoyed yard work, gardening, garage sale, raising golden retrievers, volleyball and softball.

July 18, 1925 -- Jan. 29, 2012

 Vernon H. Arnold, 86, of Norwalk, Ohio, died Sunday, January 29, 2012 in the Stein Hospice Inpatient Center. He was born July 18, 1925 in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Hugh S. and Adelene F. (Kiner) Arnold and was a lifelong area resident. Vernon graduated from St. Paul High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in W.W. II.

NORWALK -- Vernon H. Arnold, 86, of Norwalk, died early Sunday morning, Jan. 29, 2012 in the Stein Hospice Inpatient Center.

Elsie LaDonna (Heston) Gamble, age 84, of Norwalk, died Friday morning, January 27, 2012 at Willard Healthcare Center.

She was born March 17, 1927 in Norwalk to the late Jesse and Idel (Lutts) Heston. She retired from the former Clevite in Milan and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed crafts, puzzles, and eating out with her friends and family.
