Thanks, but no thanks. That's the message Bill Bader Jr. delivered to the Huron County Airport Authority at recent special meeting.
The meeting was called so airport board members could discuss and ultimately approve a temporary closure plan so Summit Motorsports Park could use the airport property as an egress during five large events this summer.
After the board OK'd a plan to close the facility in exchange for $10,000, Bader delivered the news to board members: Summit raceway will not be using the airport as an exit this summer.

WHAT?
Now if we can just run Summit the rest of the way out of here. I really don't think they bring all that much revenue to Norwalk.
Ok..Haha. the airport needs to just sell the damn thing to smp and get it over with..
Sure since he makes so darn much money. (Rumors say millions of dollars) He should just buy them out (everyone has a price) and rename it Summit Motorsports Airport and then expand it into an actually usable airport. Heck maybe we can even bring airplane races or air shows to Norwalk. ;-)
An air show would be cool.. :)
Hmmm. Wondering why it posted that twice lol
