Jenna Maddocks, 2002 graduate of Norwalk High School, earned her bachelor of science degree in early childhood education on Dec. 17 from Cleveland State University. Jenna, daughter of Scott and Dora Maddocks of Norwalk, received Summa Cum Laude and Golden Key Honor Society distinguished recognition for finishing her career with a 3.98 grade-point average. Maddocks was granted the Outstanding Student Teacher Award from the College of Education and Human Services, as recommended strongly by her university supervisor and mentor teacher. Less than 20 percent of student teachers earn this achievement. She is now being nominated for consideration of the annual COEHS Golden Apple Award. Jenna conducted her student teaching experience in the Bay Village City School district, where she also coached their high school junior varsity volleyball team. Jenna additionally received Cleveland State University's President Award for being the student-athlete to graduate with the highest grade-point average. A total of 2,281 students at Wright State University earned dean's list honors during the fall 2006 quarter, based on grade point averages.

Staci McClenathan of Norwalk was named to the fall semester 2006 dean's list at Ohio Dominican University.

Keely Telquist has been named to the dean's list for the 2006 fall semester at Mount Vernon Nazarene University. The dean's list includes all students who carried a minimum of 12 credit hours and have maintained a grade point average of 3.5 or above for the semester.

Telquist, a first-time freshman majoring in biology and intercultural studies, achieved a 3.720 grade point average. She is the daughter of Susan Hamons of Collins.

Alexzandria M. Wasco of Milan has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2006 semester at John Carroll University.

Students eligible for the dean's list must have completed a minimum of 12 semester hours within one semester and have a quality grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Katharine Wrabel, a graduate of Norwalk High School, has been named to the dean's list for the fall semester at Bluffton University.

Wrabel, the daughter of Ward and Barbara Wrabel of Norwalk, is a junior majoring in English.

The following students are members of Phi Mu sorority at Ashland University.

Courtney Asmondy of Greenwich is a member. She is the daughter of Joseph and Nancy Asmondy and is majoring in middle grades education. Amber Babcock of Willard is also a member. She is the daughter of Roger and Cynthia Babcock. Kendall Marchyshyn of Norwalk is a member. She is the daughter of James and Pam Marchyshyn and is an accounting major.

Sara R. Hipp of Norwalk has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2006 semester at John Carroll University.

Jackie Canterbury of Norwalk has qualified for the dean's list at Heidelberg University for the fall semester 2006. To qualify, the student must achieve a 3.5 grade-point average or better. She's a 2004 Norwalk High School graduate and a psychology major. She is the daughter of Michael and Janet Canterbury of Norwalk.
