MONROEVILLE PD Responded to a Monroe Street home Tuesday to investigate the suspected theft of a computer from a Milan Avenue business. The female suspect told an officer several times the computer in her house was hers, but later admitted it was stolen after the officer determined the serial numbers matched. Police forwarded a report to the Norwalk Law Director's Office for the consideration of charges.

MONROEVILLE PD

Responded to a Monroe Street home Tuesday to investigate the suspected theft of a computer from a Milan Avenue business. The female suspect told an officer several times the computer in her house was hers, but later admitted it was stolen after the officer determined the serial numbers matched. Police forwarded a report to the Norwalk Law Director's Office for the consideration of charges.

Dorothy M. Stalkamp, 89, of 39 Homewood Ave., Norwalk, was charged with failure to control Wednesday in connection with a non-injury Milan Avenue accident. She said she thought she placed the vehicle in park, but the car backed up as she exited, which severely damaged the back of the vehicle and the patio.

Brian L. Olcott, 29, of 656 DeRussey Road, New London, was charged with disorderly conduct Thursday and was released to a sober co-worker in connection with a South Main Street incident. Olcott, whose blood alcohol content level tested at .084, took a ladder from his truck, which swung across U.S. 20 and broke the right passenger side mirror of a nearby truck.

Jan. 22

Assisted Huron County Children's Services on Sandusky Street.

An employee of an East Tiffin Street business reported a suspected employee-related theft. The incident remains under investigation.

A North Conwell Avenue resident reported her cell phone was stolen.

An area motorist reported being followed through town by a male suspect.

A caller reported her vehicle had been stolen from her home. The state Highway Patrol located the vehicle later. The incident remains under investigation.

An area motorist reported an accident involving a fence on South Conwell Avenue.

Jan. 23

An area resident reported receiving threatening cell phone calls and text messages.

A caller accused his neighbors on Dale and Laurel streets of acting suspicious after the caller's wife heard something hit their house. When the caller checked around his house there were footprints from the neighbor's home.

Responded to an East Tiffin Street incident. Kevin Czupik, 18, of 173 Walnut St., Plymouth, was arrested on an undisclosed Norwalk Municipal Court warrant. Alexander Hall, 18, of 7935 Ohio 103, Plymouth, was arrested on an undisclosed Sandusky County warrant. Both suspects were transported to the Huron County Jail.

A caller reported her daughter's wallet was stolen either from Willard High School or a Blossom Centre business. The wallet was later located and was not stolen.

Found a purse in the 100 block of West Walton Avenue, notified the owner and returned it to her.

An area resident reported seeing a window broken out of a vehicle on Hayes Street.

An area resident reported his storage locker had been broken on South Conwell Avenue and items were taken.

A caller reported a fire in the 3000 block of Austin Drive.

A Woodland Avenue resident reported the theft of stereo equipment.

Jan. 25

The Mansfield Police Department requested an officer check a residence in the 200 block of Central Avenue for two men who were not at the location nor had they been there.

An area motorist reported a hit-skip accident on Front Street. An officer found the vehicle on Pin Oak Drive with suspected drug paraphernalia and marijuana in it. Chad Tackett, 33, of 58 Sandusky St., Willard, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, failure to control, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

A caller reported an unknown female walked into his home and asked for money in the 500 block of West Maple Street. An officer spoke with the caller who also advised the female took mail when she left.

An area resident reported an accident in the Willard High School parking lot.

A South Myrtle Avenue resident reported her daughter did not come home from school Jan. 24, but was in school the next day.

Christopher Current, 32, of Bucyrus, was arrested on an undisclosed Allen County warrant and transported to the Huron County Jail.

An area resident reported a female had been assaulted and her purse stolen outside of a West Walton Street business. The incident remains under investigation.

Arrested an unruly female juvenile on South Myrtle Avenue and released her to her grandfather, with charges pending.

An East Tiffin Street resident requested an officer for a vehicle lockout. Entry was gained.

A caller reported her son had been assaulted while at the reservoir. The incident remains under investigation.

Jan. 26

A Dale Avenue resident reported someone spray painted his house.

A caller reported her daughter was missing from Country Park Estates. The daughter, last seen getting into a vehicle, returned home later.

Terry A. Bannworth, 54, of 308 Nita Drive, was charged with driving under the influence and released to a sober individual.

Jan. 27

Dispatched an ambulance to West Pearl Street in response to a fight that had taken place.

Assisted an employee of Mercy Hospital of Willard with an unruly patient.

A Keefer Street resident reported someone was accusing him of stealing copper wire.

A caller reported losing her bank card at a West Walton Street business and accused someone of using the card. The incident remains under investigation.

A Sandusky Street resident reported a male suspect was inside her home and would not leave. An officer attempted to speak with the man, who then reportedly punched the officer in the face. The suspect, Juan Ruiz, 30, of 607 Pleasant St., Willard, was subdued and arrested, with charges pending on disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, criminal trespassing and assaulting a police officer. He was later transported to Huron County Jail.

A Park Street resident accused neighbors of having a domestic dispute. An officer reported the male suspect's hand was bleeding after he had punched a window. Officers checked the house for the woman, but the man advised she had left the residence.

Assisted the state Highway Patrol with serving a warrant on an unspecified suspect at a local business.

Jan. 28

An area resident reported a fight at an Ash Street business. An officer said there was an argument between two men who left the premises.

Provided undisclosed assistance for the state Highway Patrol in the area of Conwell Avenue and Spring Street.

Assisted the Huron County Sheriff's Office with serving an unspecified warrant at an undisclosed location.

Dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call with an open line from the 400 block of Woodbine Street. A resident later said there was no problem.

Dispatched an ambulance to an accident at the intersection of Townline Road 12 and Ohio 61.

An area motorist reported an accident at Keefer Street and Townline Road 12.

A Pleasant Street resident accused two male juveniles of throwing things at her house and the neighbor's house.
