Fund for Huron Co. taking applications

The Fund for Huron County is accepting applications for a spring round of grants. Applications are due by March 1. The fund makes grants to Huron County non-profit agencies. Two rounds of grants are made each year, one in the spring and one in the fall. The Fund for Huron County makes grants from a permanent endowment fund created by many donors. Contributions may be made currently, or over time, with money or appreciated assets, such as stocks and bonds. Donors of $10,000 or more may establish a named fund in their own name or honoring or memorializing someone else. It is possible to create donor advised funds in which the donor takes an active role in awarding grants.
