RR Donnelley lauds longtime employees

WILLARD — Two longtime employees are retiring from RR Donnelley in Willard.

Timothy "Tim" Dorf will retire Feb. 1 after more than 46 years of service.

He started his career as a hoist driver in the shipping department, then worked in several areas of the bindery. He became a customer service representative, then a supervisor in shipping, prepress and bindery. He moved to Utah Division, then returned to Willard in 1997. He is retiring as a supervisor in the bindery.

He lives in Norwalk with his wife, Sandi, also an RRD retiree. They have two daughters, Shannon and Shelly, and seven grandchildren.

Harold Tackett will retire Jan. 31 after more than 41 years of service.

He started his career as a packer boy in the pressroom, then left for the Army for two years in Vietnam. He returned to work as a grounds janitor, building maintenance assistant, machinist and is retiring as a supply specialist.

He lives in Greenwich with his wife, Karen. They have two sons, Robin and Brett.
