EDITOR'S NOTE: Lance Cpl. Todd Corbin of Norwalk was interviewed by Mike Taibbion for a segment that aired Tuesday night on NBC's Nightly News analyzing whether soldiers are being honored for their sacrifice in the war on terror. These are excerpts from that interview.
Thirty-two-year-old Todd Corbin is an Ohio deputy sheriff, a corporal in the Marine reserves and, on a May day in Haditha, Iraq, in 2005, a hero.
"It was like hell opened up fires burning," Corbin says.
