A Norwalk woman facing two felonies goes to trial Nov. 13.

Former Bellevue resident Heather M. Lopez, 35, now of 48 Old State Road, pleaded "not guilty" to grand theft and tampering with records, each of which are punishable by six to 18 months behind bars. The fourth-degree felonies are in connection with an incident between about March 1, 2013 through Dec. 2.

Norwalk Police Capt. Eric Hipp arrested Lopez on a secret indictment about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. She was released to Huron County Sheriff's Deputy Shannon Lyons and transported to the Huron County Jail. A grand jury issues a secret indictment when authorities suspect the person might flee the area.

If Lopez posts a $5,000 bond with a 10-percent provision, she is prohibited from being on the property of a business in the 300 block of Milan Avenue.

The scrubs are a nice touch. "A grand jury issues a secret indictment when authorities suspect the person might flee the area." I think they meant 'flea'.

Grand theft of what ? A Hostess factory ?

just plain disgusted

The scrubs are because she works in a LTC facility (not anymore after this) and probably was arrested on the way to work or right after she got off work.

The people on here who are making fun of her and commenting about her weight should be ashamed of themselves... And I'm guessing you all aren't the best looking people in the entire world so you should probably not comment about other people's looks... This person has family, a mother, sister, cousins, grandparents, etc. that love her very much and you should be disgusted with yourself that you posted ANYTHING negative about her looks in anyway... First of all, you should probably learn to read, it says she is accused of these things, not convicted! The scrubs are probably because she is a nurse which means shes dedicated her life to helping other... You have to be a horrible, low life human being to kick someone when they are down... Which is exactly what you people are doing... Shame on you... I find it hard to believe that none of you making these nasty, rude comments have never made a mistake or gotten yourself into a situation that could be ended you up exactly where she is... And I'm guessing from the lack of class with your comments, That's a good bet to make that you are all probably low life, no good garbage.... I hope that karma comes back to bite you...
