The defense attorney for a man charged with growing marijuana said he might file a motion to suppress evidence.
Edward Rhode III, who represents Jonathon T. Auble, said he might hire his own expert to determine what is and isn't marijuana. The defense attorney said he was undecided about having jurors view the suspected crime scene.
Auble, 48, of 982 Timothy Drive, Willard, is charged with one count each of cultivation of marijuana and possession of criminal tools, each in connection with a March 1 incident. He has a Sept. 9 trial date in Huron County Common Pleas Court.
Huron County Assistant Prosecutor Daivia Kasper said there haven't been any plea negotiations, but the state is open to a plea.
Auble earlier posted a $10,000 bond.
