Grand jury indicts 41 people

Charges range from murder to heroin crimes

An Erie County grand jury has indicted 41 people.

Their names and charges are as follows:

Jonathan R. Baer on aggravated possession of drugs;

Shalyn K. Barman on possession of heroin;

Frank R. Miller on one count each menacing by stalking, aggravated menacing, and intimidation;

Carl J. Bostic aka Jeff Bostic on one count each possession of heroin, preparation of heroin for sale, and forfeiture;

Robert W. Armstrong on one count each failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, assault, and felonious assault;

Semaj M. Smith on three counts trafficking in cocaine, and one count each possession of cocaine and forfeiture;

Lester B. Williams on one count each aggravated possession of drugs, possession of drugs, possession of cocaine, and forfeiture;

Jason L. Thomas on four counts trafficking in cocaine, and one count each preparation of cocaine for sale, possession of cocaine, and forfeiture;

Kristopher T. Lacey on trafficking in heroin;

Jerome A. Caffey on three counts trafficking in cocaine, two counts having a weapon while under disability, and one count each possession of cocaine, preparation of cocaine for sale, preparation of marijuana for sale, and forfeiture;

Alvin L. Luckett on four counts trafficking in cocaine, and one count each possession of cocaine, preparation of cocaine for sale, and forfeiture;

Tarrence D. Hills on two counts trafficking in heroin, and one count each trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine, preparation of cocaine for sale, tampering with evidence, illegal conveyance of weapons or prohibited items onto grounds of a detention facility or institution, and forfeiture;

Rafael T. Pool on two counts each preparation of cocaine for sale, possession of cocaine, and trafficking in heroin, five counts trafficking in cocaine, and one count forfeiture;

Dashaun L. Grant on three counts trafficking in cocaine;

Jessica D. Fantozzi on possession of heroin;

Kirk L. Fenderson on three counts trafficking in cocaine;

Erica J. Hartley on one count each possession of cocaine, possession of heroin, theft, and tampering with evidence;

Joshua D. Borden on possession of cocaine;

David A. Bates on unlawful sexual conduct with a minor;

Jeremy J. Prophet on two counts each having a weapon while under disability, tampering with evidence, and discharging a firearm at or into a habitation, and one count each discharging a firearm at or into a school safety zone, felonious assault, and spec.;

Brandon J. Ehlers, Sr. on theft;

Trevon M. Donovan on one count each possession of cocaine and possession of heroin;

Davareis A. Randleman on one count each possession of cocaine, tampering with evidence, failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, preparation of cocaine for sale, and forfeiture;

Michael L. Denslow on one count each felonious assault and spec.;

Michael L. Beaver on one count each felonious assault, tampering with evidence, and spec.;

Dominique D. Harris on possession of cocaine;

Talarry J. Steele aka Talary J. Steele aka Tallary J. Steele on one count each possession of cocaine, tampering with evidence, and forfeiture;

Victor E. Fierro on one count each felonious and spec.;

Joseph Sammarco Jr. on three counts non-support of dependents;

Thomas J. Halbisen III on three counts non-support of dependents;

John B. Dugan III on one count each aggravated vehicular assault, driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and spec.;

Heather M. Russell on one count each aggravated vehicular assault and spec.;

Spencer B. Griffin on one count each felonious assault and spec.;

and Quotaz D. Alexander on one count each domestic violence, felonious assault, and violation of a protection order. Grand jurors declined to indict Alexander on an additional felonious assault charge.

In addition to the aforementioned 34 people, an additional seven suspects were secretly indicted, meaning their identities and charges won't be made public until arrests are made or court papers served.

The grand jury also decided felony charges are not warranted against these two people:

Albert E. Rodriguez on two counts each domestic violence and assault; and Gene E. Beese on one count each patient abuse with a specification.

Late last month, an Erie County grand jury also met and indicted the following four people on these charges:

Mohammad A. Hamad on a firearm specification;

Yousif N. Hamad on a firearm specification;

David M. Arthur Sr., on failure to provide for a functionally impaired person, involuntary manslaughter, patient endangerment and murder;

Deborah S. Arthur on failure to provide for a functionally impaired person, involuntary manslaughter, patient endangerment and murder.
