Cleveland speaker to come to Green Team

Andrew Watterson will be the speaker for the Green Team at 9 a.m. May 21 at Calvary Baptist Church, 99 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Watterson is the program director for Cleveland's sustainability program. He has been working in this position since May 2005 and advises the city on projects related to energy, buildings, fleet and purchasing. Cleveland's sustainability program's goals are to save the city money while reducing its ecological footprint, to use sustainability principles as a tool for economic development and to introduce sustainability principles to city employees through education. Cleveland's sustainability program has been successful at saving money and reducing the city's ecological footprint with new policies in energy, fleet and facility management. Watterson will make a 30-minute presentation, followed by the opportunity for audience questions. The public is welcome to attend. Regular business will be conducted following Watterson's presentation.
