Will the Norwalk City Schools pick a new superintendent tonight?

That could happen as the school board has scheduled a meeting tonight. Here are the details:

"The Norwalk City Schools Board of Education will hold an Executive Session meeting on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Norwalk City Schools Central Board Office, 134 Benedict Avenue, Norwalk, Ohio.

The purpose of the Executive Session is to discuss the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion or compensation of an employee.

Board action may follow the Executive Session."

The board has been searching for a new superintendent since Dennis Doughty announced his resignation May 13.

Eleven people applied for the job and the school board narrowed it down to five -- Patrick Colucci (superintendent, Ashland Area City Schools); Sue Goodsite (assistant superintendent/director of curriculum and grants, Norwalk City Schools); James Millett (school administrator, Riverside Local Schools); Scott Will (superintendent, Crestview Local Schools); and Timothy Winland (superintendent, Paint Valley Local Schools).

Who do you think it should be? Share your opinion in the comments section below.

And the winner is...Sue Goodsite? I guess that's what some of the board members were telling people this weekend. They said they're only holding the meeting so they can make an "official" announcement. Anyone else hear this?

such a surprising development,at least the other candidates got some interview experience, our school board and supt. always calls in some tokens for make believe interviews

Gomer says, "Surprise, Surprise Sgt. Carter "

all fact or all...

Norwalk needs a change... Just because Sue is already involved in school politics doesn't mean she deserves the superintendent job.... Just my opinion
