Pediatrician joins New Beginnings in Huron County

Dr. Karen La Salle, who specializes in pediatrics, joined New Beginnings Pediatrics in Norwalk and Bellevue on July 7.

She also plans to join the medical staffs at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk and The Bellevue Hospital in Bellevue.

La Salle completed her pediatric residency in 2013, followed by a year as chief resident for the pediatrics program and attending physician for ambulatory pediatrics.

From 2004-2006, she served as laboratory coordinator for the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Lerner Research Center, Cleveland, from 2004-2006 and laboratory coordinator, LSU Department of Genetics, New Orleans, La. from 2002-2004. She also was a research assistant in The Ohio State University Primate Research Center in Columbus.

La Salle earned her doctor of medicine from the University of Toledo in 2010, her master of science in Human Genetics from Tulane University, New Orleans, La., in 2003 and her bachelor of arts in psychology from The Ohio State University in 2001.

La Salle grew up in Avon Lake and now lives in Milan with her husband, James, and their two daughters.
