A Monroeville man is accused of drunk driving in connection with a Willard-area crash early Sunday.

Jonathon M. Jones, 25, of 991 S. Ohio 61, had a blood-alcohol content level of .13 percent on a breath test, said Sgt. Jason Demuth, of the state Highway Patrol. The legal limit for drivers in Ohio is .08 percent.

Jones was southbound on Snyder Road, went off the north side and hit a tree, Demuth said. Jones wasn't injured.

The crash happened at 1:28 a.m. on Snyder Road about one-fifth of a mile west of Ohio 61.

Jones was charged with failure to control and driving under the influence.

Seems like the drunk drivers are never hurt badly if at all in these accidents. Shame the same can't be said for the people they hit.
