A Wakeman teen accused of breaking the jaw of a New London boy is scheduled to appear in Huron County Juvenile Court this week.

The 16-year-old Wakeman boy is charged with felonious assault, a second-degree felony if committed by an adult. His initial hearing is Friday.

Court administrator Chris Mushett said the defendant caused serious physical harm when he reportedly punched a 15-year-old New London boy "multiple times in the face and did break his jaw."

"This was alleged to have occurred on June 18," Mushett added. "There was no request for detention, so I assume (the defendant) is at home with his parents."

"I assume (the defendant) is at home with his parents."

Never assume - you that saying. If his parents were watching him, he probably wouldn't have broken the other boy's jaw in the first place.
