SANDUSKY - A Wakeman man remains in the Erie County Jail on multiple sex-related charges.

An Erie County grand jury indicted Brian C. Barnhill, 24, of 10519 Harrison Road, on four counts of rape and three charges of gross sexual imposition after the grand jurors convened April 2 through 4. A corrections officer said Barnhill has been jailed on a $45,000 bond since March 6. No trial date has been scheduled because the suspect hasn't been arraigned yet. Barnhill faces three to 10 years in prison on each of the rape charges.

In a separate case, Joseph R. Saldania, 30, of 13 Grand Ave., was indicted on two counts of non-support of dependents in connection with failing to pay child support in 2006 and 2007, Palmer said.
