UPDATE - Williamson could lose job

MANSFIELD - Conviction of sexual imposition could leave Madison Local Schools Superintendent Dave Williamson without a job, according to the Ohio Department of Education. The board of education placed Williamson on paid administrative leave Wednesday night after he was charged with the two counts of sexual imposition, third-degree misdemeanors. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Mansfield Municipal Court at 10 a.m. April 17.

MANSFIELD — Conviction of sexual imposition could leave Madison Local Schools Superintendent Dave Williamson without a job, according to the Ohio Department of Education.

The board of education placed Williamson on paid administrative leave Wednesday night after he was charged with the two counts of sexual imposition, third-degree misdemeanors. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Mansfield Municipal Court at 10 a.m. April 17.

 “Depending on the findings of the criminal investigation, it is possible that this superintendent could lose his licensure,” ODE spokesman Scott Blake said.

Mansfield Law Director Dave Remy said the case involves an allegation of “inappropriate comments and unwanted touching” involving a 27-year-old female employee.

According to a Richland County Sheriff’s Department report, the alleged incidents occurred at 4:30 p.m. March 26 and 7:45 p.m. March 27 at the board office, 1379 Grace St.

Williamson is the former superintendent with the South Central Local School District.
