An accused drug dealer entered "not guilty" pleas to two counts of trafficking in suboxone Thursday -- the same day as her birthday.

If convicted, Heather M. Steinmetz, 31, of 4183 S. Ohio 103, Willard, faces six to 12 months behind bars on each of the fifth-degree felonies. The charges are in connection with controlled drug buys on April 23 and 24, 2013. Her trial date is July 31.

Steinmetz was arraigned Thursday, the day she turned 31. She must post 10 percent of $5,000 before being released from the Huron County Jail.

The defendant told Huron County Common Pleas Judge Jim Conway she is supposed to be accepted into Compass House, an in-patient substance abuse treatment center in Toledo. Court administrator Linda Stower said Steinmetz must submit proof to the court. Records indicate Steinmetz could be furloughed if she has been accepted.

In Norwalk Municipal Court, Steinmetz is charged with tampering with evidence in connection with an incident Wednesday, according to court records. The Huron County Sheriff's Office handled the investigation.

Prosecutors filed the third-degree-felony, which is punishable by nine months to three years in prison, Thursday.

How many times is she going to get a slap on the wrist? she will end up getting out and nothing will be done like always come on huron county this is getting to be ridiculous charge already!!!

must have been drugged up when she trimmed them eyebrows

Brock Lee

J Cooper

$500 cash bond for a DRUG DEALER, nice going Conway keep them on the street, what a joke!

Good thing it wasn't pot or she would have gotten in some serious trouble and we would have gotten a lecture of the dangers of it from the drunks.

So, did she have needles stuck in her birthday cake?

So she's been in jail for a little while but yet was just charged Wednesday for a tampering case. Is this a new charge that came about while in hail?

Looks like she already had a warrant out for that go to it shows all

i think an investigation is in order on the huron county court system...what i want to know is are these judges and officials getting a cut of some sort for sending all these addicted losers to these inpatient facilities...cbcf has to have more people from huron county than anywhere else in this state. judges have been caught before for taking cuts and some sort of royalties to fill these privately owned facilities

theunknownmessenger...if I get in trouble, I hope I go before Conway. Secondly, it's a way to eliminate probation officers. These places like CBCF and others must have money changing hands somewhere, or at the least-political support in re-elections.

Nasty looking!

i like em nasty!!

Happy Birthday to you. Hoppy Birth dog...I really need a fix...

Where did you go wrong Amy?

Wow..I would say it was when she started doing drugs..any other stupid questions you need answered?? Change your definitely don't seem bright enough to light anything with a dumb question like that..

Thank you.

Yall Make Me Sick

Sorry but Mad Brow made me LOL. When she was younger she was in a store and the mirrors they use to have that went down isles so people could watch you fell on her and cut her above her eye. She use to get a check each month cause I guess her mom sued them. But that money wen up her nose when she first started using drugs, then she went to the needle when the pills did nothing for her. Sad.
