Police say Edison High School graduate Zachary Perdue believed he was headed to Sanford, Fla. to meet a girl for sex.

Instead, he was met by authorities who arrested him.

Perdue, who was on vacation with family members recently, has been indicted by an Orlando federal grand jury on charges of possessing child pornography and using the Internet to persuade a minor to engage in sexual activity.

Authorities with the Seminole County Sheriff's Office, which investigated the case, didn't return repeated calls from the Reflector about the case.

FBI agents have said Perdue posted a graphic sexual advertisement on Craigslist in the "casual encounters" section looking for a woman of any age. The advertisement included his telephone number, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

The newspaper, citing court records, reported an undercover agent responded via text and posed as a 14-year-old girl. Court records indicate Perdue is accused of sending a series of sexual tests, including suggestive photographs of himself and discussed meeting for sex. Perdue reportedly said in the March 23 ad he wanted to meet the "girl" in a public place "to make sure it was not a set up."

The paper reported Perdue referred to the TV show "To Catch a Predator" and noted men get arrested for meeting girls.

Perdue agreed to meet the "girl" at a gas station in Sanford. He arrived and was arrested.

Agents searched his phone and found child pornography, the Sentinel reported. The suspect reportedly estimated the age of the children victimized in the images were between 5 and 10 years old.

According to the Sentinel, Perdue admitted that several months earlier, he watched a man molest his child live on the Internet.

Why does it matter where he graduated from? He's a piece of human waste.

JudgeMeNot

It doesn't matter. Any reputable journalist would know that.

This paper does the same thing to veterans, sad but true.

When the paper hires reputable journalists, if there is such a thing anymore, then you might get quality reporting.

Screwed up rich kid who works for his family business in Milan.

His Facebook shows him to be somewhat of a loner, nothing really out of character on it; so you never know who your around..

Very sad that his family can run a 4 million dollar business but couldn't take the time to do their REAL job and raise him without such issues. With family being so rich he probably will get off.

I thought this was part of UPS.
