Briarfield of Milan is changing management, a representative with Vista Care Centers confirmed last week.

The person declined to release more information, other than to say Vista will assume management at Briarfield. She added Vista owns and operates six nursing facilities in the Youngstown area.

The representative said more information will be forthcoming. Pressed further, she declined to release anything more.

The woman said information about Briarfield "closing its doors," as an anonymous person wrote to the Reflector claimed, is false, as is the person's claim that "everyone loses benefits May 31, 2014."

"Vista Care Centers offer the very finest in Rehabilitation, Long-term Care, Assisted Living and Dementia Care," a Vista official wrote on its website, www.vistacarecenters.com. "Our facilities are family-owned and -operated -- our key personnel have the benefit of more than 30 years of experience in rehabilitation and long-term care.

"You and your loved ones can have complete confidence in the quality of care you'll receive at a Vista Care Centers facility."

"The most gratifying thing about what we do is to see significant improvement in the quality of life for our residents," Tracy D'Andrea, RN, CRRN, Chief Operating Officer, Premiere Skilled Nursing Facility Services, wrote on the website. "At each of our facilities, we invest heavily in infrastructure and operations stability to achieve this goal."
