Two male teenagers were charged in connection with a fight at a local park. Prosecutors are considering charges against several juvenile females who reportedly were involved.

A passerby noticed two men who appeared to be "getting ready to fight" at the park at the intersection of Jefferson and North West streets, according to the Norwalk Police Department. The complainant made the call at 6:22 p.m. Tuesday.

Jason J. Kumpf, 19, of 11 Ford Ave., and Jordan J. Jones, 18, of 21 Valley Park Drive, each were issued summonses on disorderly conduct. They were given their court dates and released.

"A brief investigation revealed numerous juvenile females had gathered at the park with the intention of participating in or watching a fight. Several of them contacted another 13-year-old female by text message and attempted to get her to meet them there for the fight," Capt. Dave Smith wrote in his report.

Police forwarded a report to the Huron County Prosecutor's Office and Huron County Juvenile Court for the consideration of charges against the juveniles.
