A judge issued arrest warrants for three defendants who didn't appear for their respective hearings this week in Huron County Common Pleas Court.

Drug defendant Alaina L. Rowe, 26, most recently of 117 High St., Plymouth, was scheduled to appear for a pre-trial hearing Monday.

The former Willard woman is charged with possession of cocaine in connection with an Aug. 22 incident. She earlier posted a $5,000 bond.

On Tuesday, two more defendants weren't in the courtroom for their pre-trial hearings.

Jacob A. LeClair, 24, most recently of 403 Myrtle Ave., Willard, is charged with possession of oxycodone in connection with a July 10 incident. He is out on a personal recognizance bond. That means LeClair signed a court document in which he promised to show up for future hearings without having to pay any money.

"We did try to send him a letter in March. It came back," Huron County Public Defender David Longo told Judge Jim Conway.

"Judge, I haven't heard from him in some time," Longo added Tuesday.

Vanessa Y. Medina, 34, of Sandusky, is charged with theft in connection with a Dec. 22 incident. Longo has said the suspected incident involves merchandise from Walmart.

Medina earlier posted a $5,000 bond.

Longo said Tuesday the woman called his office that morning and "claimed not to have any transportation." The public defender also said one of his secretary admonished Medina that if she didn't come to court, the judge would issue a warrant. Longo added he suspects Medina will show up for her May 8 trial date.
