Former school board member Carla Rospert recently told council she has "some serious concerns" about the amount of spending in Milan.
She noted that a couple years ago, all employees received a 2 1/2 percent raise and added "our taxes have doubled."
Rospert, who sought but wasn't appointed to a council seat in November, urged the body's members to "follow a budget."
