A drug defendant who was found passed out in a bathtub after a suspected huffing incident has been granted intervention in lieu of conviction.

That means if Miranda L. Fligor, 29, most recently of 56 1/2 Milan Ave., successfully completes substance abuse treatment, she won't have a conviction on her record. She is charged with abusing harmful intoxicants in connection with a Nov. 24 incident.

Within two hours of Fligor being released from the Huron County Jail on an unspecified charge, the Norwalk Police Department responded to a possible huffing-related overdose at the residence where she was living. Huron County Assistant Prosecutor Richard Woodruff has said officers found the woman passed out in a bathtub.

On Thursday, Fligor was placed on two years of intensive probation through Huron County Common Pleas Court. She also had her driver's license suspended for six months.

Fligor is on two years of probation through Norwalk Municipal Court for three misdemeanor counts of abusing harmful intoxicants. The convictions are for two Aug. 9, 2013 incidents and an Oct. 15, 2013 offense.

The defendant was sentenced to 30 days in jail in mid-August. Court records indicate she had 150 days suspended and isn't allowed to consume alcohol or any drugs of abuse during probation. Her driver's license was suspended through Feb. 19.
