A Monroeville driver had a blood-alcohol content level that tested slightly more than twice the legal limit during an Erie County traffic stop.

Kristopher E. Holdcraft, 47, of 2614 W. Ohio 113, was stopped and warned about speeding by Trooper Eddie Lopez, of the Norwalk post of the state Highway. The traffic stop happened at 11:54 p.m. March 6 on Cleveland Road near East Shoreway in Sandusky.

Holdcraft was charged with driving under the influence and a seatbelt violation. His BAC on a breath test was .169 percent, according to the trooper's report. The legal limit for drivers in Ohio is .08 percent.

The suspect has two prior DUI convictions from 1992 and 2003, according to patrol records.
