A trooper with the state Highway Patrol's Norwalk post stopped two suspected drunk drivers in the Monroeville area recently.

Amy E. Brady, 48, of 4150 River Road, Monroeville, was stopped by Trooper William Howard at 9:27 p.m. Friday. The traffic stop happened at the intersection of River and Washington roads in Ridgefield Township.

Brady, who refused to submit to a breath test, was charged with driving under the influence and going left of center. Patrol records indicate she has two prior DUI convictions, from 1984 and 1996.

At 2:29 a.m. Sunday, Howard stopped Lori L. Shaw, 49, of 20 Surrey Court, Apt. 1A, Monroeville, on Washington Street near Ridge Street in the village.

Shaw's breath had a blood-alcohol content level of .197 percent, according to the trooper's report. The legal limit for drivers in Ohio is .08 percent. Shaw was charged with DUI and going left of center.

Wow Cary, you can never tell the truth huh?? Scared people will stop reading your articles???? Amy didn't refuse a breath test, cause she blew. And her DUIs weren't in 84 and 96.. She hasn't had one in 20 years. And kURTje, who the hell are you?! Do you know amy? Quit hiding behind a screen name.. Yeah this is her daughter. Cary lied on all the articles he wrote about me and he's just gonna continue to do it cause that's all he's good at!! Have a great day! And keep your head up Mom, it's just a little bump in the road!

Thank you Trooper Howard for doing your job. Our county doe not need more impared drivers. Now the system will "bump" her finances.

You sound impaired typing your comment. Get a life and get off the reflector. Bet your life isn't all sunshine n flowers. People make mistakes. Grow up!

Shouldn't you be out raising some bail money? If you and "Mom" have both been in the news you should probably start a precautionary fund... look it up. Just a little bump in the road on the way to your real crimes that land you both in prison for a long time.

Raising bail money for what?? She gets one DUI and you think they are gonna send her to prison. Your dumb. You should learn the law.. I know a lady who has had 6 DUIs which should have been a felony but it was a misdemeanor n only got 6 months in county. We don't commit crimes. I've been on the straight and narrow for over a year now. I learned my lesson! I did my time for what I did. Thanks for the advice! :)

Thank you for noticing my spelling error. I'm thankful Trooper Howard noticed your mom's driving error(s). The end.

Her and "Mom" are known to pay attention to details... except for while driving drunk.

Pretty sure I don't drive drunk. I have a lot more to be worried about than out partying or to the bars all the time. I have a family to raise! Maybe you should get off your computer/phone and raise your family instead of bashing people.
