A woman who forged stolen checks was convicted Tuesday in Huron County Common Pleas Court.

Kimberly D. Slone, 38, of 372 Austin Drive, Willard, pleaded guilty to forgery for a June 21 incident. As part of a plea deal, prosecutors dismissed one count of theft of checks. She will be sentenced April 17.

Slone was arrested Tuesday on a Norwalk Municipal Court warrant, court administrator Linda Stower said. The defendant, who had been out on bond, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and transported to the Huron County Jail.
