A Marysville woman who died of injuries suffered in a fire on Jan. 17 set the fire that killed her, investigators said yesterday.

Police and fire investigators said Jennifer Fuller, 38, intentionally set the fire in her living room at 712 W. 5th St. in Marysville. Fuller, who went by that last name but whose legal last name was Pummell, called 911 to report that her home was burning that day.

Firefighters rescued her from the burning house, but she died 20 days later at Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center.

Her daughter, Avila Anderson, said yesterday that she did not believe her mother set the fire on purpose.

Anderson said she thought news stories about her mother and the fire have been disrespectful to her family.

“My mom passed away,” she said. “It’s not easy for us to see anything in the news.”
