n Arielle R. Hord, daughter of Randy and Cheryl Hord, of Willard, was inducted into Ohio Northern University’s chapter of Mortar Board. She is a junior majoring in marketing.
On campus, Hord is also active in Alpha Xi Delta social sorority, Alpha Lambda Delta scholastic honorary for freshman women, the yearbook staff, the American Marketing Association and the Students in Free Enterprise club.
n Elizabeth Andosca, daughter of Tom and Madeline, has been elected president of the Delta Gamma Sorority at Ohio University. She is currently a junior majoring in organizational communications. She is a 2005 graduate of St. Paul High School.

Laureen Thompson of Greenwich, is a member. She is the daughter of Gayle MacRon and Douglas Thompson and is majoring in political science.
n Ashley Bethard of Collins, is the editor-in-chief for Passages magazine for the Literature Club at Ashland University. She is the daughter of Charles and Lindaly Bethard and is majoring in English.

n The outstanding achievements of undergraduates at Vanderbilt University have been honored with publication of the Fall 2007 Dean’s Lists for the College of Arts and Science, School of Engineering, Peabody College of education and human development and Blair School of Music.
To qualify for the Arts and Science, Peabody College, Blair School of Music or School of Engineering Dean’s List, students must receive grades equivalent to a 3.5 on a 4.0 scale for the semester.
The following area students were honored on the Dean’s List for Vanderbilt University: James Douglas Kasten of Norwalk, for the College of Arts and Science. James is the son of Dr. and Mrs. James D. Kasten of Norwalk.
n A total of 2,598 students at Wright State University earned dean’s list honors during the fall 2007 quarter, based on their grade point averages. All students must take 12 hours or more credit hours to earn dean’s list honors. They must have achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average to be placed on the dean’s list.
