The Willard Police Department blotter covering Feb. 11 through 17 had the following highlights:

Feb. 11

n A Dale Avenue resident reported her 15-year-old daughter was missing for two days. The girl returned home later that day.

n A South Conwell Avenue resident requested extra patrol in the area after receiving a threatening telephone call.

Feb. 12

n Felicimo Olvera, 56, of 308 N. Main St., Willard, was charged with failure to control in connection with an accident at the intersection of Conwell Avenue and Tiffin Street.

n A South Conwell Avenue resident reported someone hit and knocked down his mailbox.

n A Maplewood Street resident reported someone stole a check and cashed it.

n Reported seeing three vehicles doing donuts in the Willard High School parking lot.  

Feb. 14

n Royden Trimner, 79, of 2552 Ohio 99, Willard, was charged with improper backing in connection with an accident at the intersection of Woodbine and Maple streets.

n Linda Weilnau, 46, of 608 Kennedy Drive, Willard, was charged with failure to yield in connection with an accident at the intersection of Main Street and Kennedy Drive.

n An area resident accused a male suspect of following her at the Blossom Center.

n Provided undisclosed assistance for the Huron County Sheriff’s Office in the 100 block of Spring Street.

Feb. 15

n Dispatched an ambulance to Pleasant Street for an overdose.

n A West Maple Street resident reported being harassed.

Feb. 16

n A caller reported there was a fight involving a large group of people in front of a Myrtle Avenue business. The complainant said a male suspect pulled out what appeared to be a gun. Everyone was gone when police arrived. An officer spoke with a couple who said “the others” accused of having the gun left in a black vehicle.

n While investigating the previous complaint, officers learned about another fight inside the bar. An intoxicated male suspect was accused of starting fights with other patrons. He was transported to Mercy Hospital of Willard for the treatment of injuries sustained before an officer arrived. Carmelo DeJesus, 23, of 3286 Ohio 103, Willard, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

n A West Pearl Street resident reported he and his dog were attacked by a large dog, one of which was running loose in the yard upon arrival. Patricia Salyer, 47, of 309 W. Pearl St., Willard, was charged with allowing a dog to run at large.

n A Rae Court resident reported receiving a threatening telephone call.

n Ronald T. Babione, 18, of 4248 Ohio 103, Willard, was charged with underage consumption in connection with an incident in the Willard High School parking lot.

n An area resident reported a lock was broken off a tractor-trailer at a vacant business in the 300 block of East Laurel Street.

n Dispatched the Willard Fire Department to a barn fire in the 5000 block of Townline Road 12.

n A South Myrtle Avenue business employee reported a female juvenile suspect left without paying for her meal. An officer contacted the girl and the bill was paid.

n Michael D. Hicks, 36, of 435 N. Main St., Willard, was charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a Dale Avenue incident.

Feb. 17

n Eddie D. Tackett Jr., 18, of 101 First St., Willard, was arrested on a contempt of court warrant. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

n A Pearl Street resident reported someone smashed a window in his truck cab with three beer bottles.

n An East Laurel Street resident reported a vehicle break-in.  

n A West Walton Avenue resident reported someone broke the rear window of a vehicle.
