Julia M. Spires, 27, of 5323 Young Road, Bellevue, was charged with failure to control Tuesday after she went off the left side of Young Road, hit two trees and a ditch. She was not transported for possible injuries.

Justin H. Jenkins, 16, of 6648 Lincoln Road, Wakeman, was charged with failure to control Tuesday after he went off the left side of Ohio 60, and hit a tree stump and a ditch. He was not transported for possible injuries.

Joel R. Copley, 37, of 6792 New London Eastern Road, New London, hit a deer Wednesday at the intersection of Ohio 162 and U.S. 20.

Tyler J. Delameter, 22, of 4781 Plank Road, hit a deer Thursday on U.S. 250.

Jordan D. McPeek, 16, of 2005 Clinton Road, Collins, was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance Friday after hitting the rear of the vehicle driven by Katharine Bissell, 24, of 8 Jackson St., on U.S. 20.

Christopher Deleon, 28, of 104 N. Main St., North Fairfield, was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance Saturday after he drove across Townline Road 131, hit a ditch and came to rest in a field. He also was charged with a hit-skip violation, obstruction of official business and driving with an expired registration. One of Deleon's passengers, Danielle R. Antill, 30, of 1224 Peru Olena Road, Lot 11, reported minor injuries, but wasn't transported.

A tractor-trailer traveling west on Ohio 18 in front of Christopher J. Hunter, 35, of Wellington, kicked up a stone and hit Hunter's windshield. No citation was issued.

NORWALK POLICE

William I. Garman, 44, of 127 Benedict Ave., was charged with failure to control Jan. 2 after he sideswiped the parked vehicle owned by Jerry F. Modic, of 37 Silvern St., on Park Avenue.

Carl. J. Bostic, 40, of 85 1/2 Elm St., Milan, was charged with failure to control Thursday while making a right turn onto the access road between the Apple's Plaza and Aldi and hit the vehicle driven by James Arnett, 50, of 17 State St., Apt. 1.

Jason T. Kuhlman, 28, of 25 S. Garden St., was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance Friday after he hit the rear of the vehicle driven by Tina M. Courtad, 41, of 1172 S. Norwalk Road, on West Main Street.

A Milan Avenue motorist reported approaching the intersection of Milan Avenue and East League Street Friday and was hit by a compact car, whose driver left the scene.

A Cline Street resident reported someone egged her home Friday.

Edward E. Blair, 30, of 20 Spring St., was charged with possession of marijuana while being arrested on a local assault warrant Friday. He was released Saturday from the Huron County Jail after posting bond.

A Wooster Street resident reported the theft of 11 video games, a tan wallet, his Social Security card and one ring with diamonds during a burglary Friday. The incident remains under investigation.

Holly A. Slimak, 35, of 3355 Ohio 598, Willard, and Amanda L. Belcher, 27, of 32 Jefferson St., each were charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a Jefferson Street fight Friday and released.

Amy L. Barnett, 30, of 30C Woodlawn Ave., was arrested on four warrants Friday and charged with one count of identity fraud and three counts of passing bad checks. She currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

An area resident turned in an inoperable BB gun Friday that an officer dumped directly into a city sanitation truck.

Joshua S. McFadden, 19, of 11 Dudley Blvd., was issued a summons on underage consumption Friday.

Jacob G. Henderson, 18, of 16 Minard Place, was charged with improper backing on North Wooster Street Saturday after he hit the parked vehicle owned by James Fortson, of 30 E. League St.

Garrett T. Espinoze, 16, of 18 Laurel Lane, was charged with operating an unsafe vehicle Saturday after he said his brakes failed while attempting to stop for the red light on West Main Street. He made a hard right turn onto the tree lawn, where he hit a street sign, a "for sale" sign and large brick pillar.

Courtney P. Penfield, 16, of 45 N. Kniffin St., Greenwich, was charged with improper backing after she hit the parked vehicle owned by Robert S. Woods, of 10 Marshall St., on Ford Avenue.

Michael D. Osborn, 48, of 1 Park Ridge Court, was arrested on three contempt of court warrants Saturday. He is serving a 10-day sentence at the Huron County Jail.

An area resident reported finding the basket from a handicapped shopping cart on a Grove Avenue tree lawn Saturday.

A Marshall Street resident reported the theft of her silver 1998 Ford Explorer on Saturday.

Joseph Gonzalez, 25, of 2 Valley Park Drive, was arrested on four Sandusky Municipal Court warrants Saturday and charged with failure to pay fines and costs. He was turned over to the Perkins Township Police Department.

Bryan J. Maxwell, 19, of 175 Concord Court, was arrested on a warrant Saturday and charged with failure to appear for a trial on passing bad checks. He was held at the Huron County Jail until his court appearance today.

Phillip M. Hersha, 25, of 2005 Winkle Road, Milan, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct in connection with a Westwind Drive business parking lot incident Saturday. He was released to a sober person.

Edward S. Phillips, 28, of 31 1/2 Tilton St., Greenwich, was arrested on a warrant Sunday and charged with failure to pay fines and costs. He currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

Jenny L. Hale, of 57 N. Railroad St., New London, was charged with driving with a suspended license in connection with a Benedict Avenue traffic stop Sunday. Police had her vehicle towed and seized her license plates as evidence.

A Hartland Center Road, Collins, resident reported being harassed during a Westwind Drive business parking lot incident Sunday.

A Marshall Street resident reported damage to her driver's side mirror Sunday. The incident remains under investigation.

An area resident reported finding a Next bicycle and Quasar Reptor bicycle abandoned Sunday on West Seminary Street.

A Breezewood Drive resident reported someone sprayed syrup on the sidewalk leading to his front door, the door stop and bottom of the front door Sunday.

A Fruen Street resident reported a suspected burglary Sunday.

Keith M. Bores, 18, of 33 Oak St., was arrested on a warrant and charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony, during a Whittlesey Avenue traffic stop today. Police also charged a 16-year-old Milan Avenue boy with a curfew violation and released him to his mother. Police forwarded a report to the Huron County Prosecutor's Office and Huron County Juvenile Court. Bores currently is in custody at the Huron County Jail.

The Norwalk Police Department requested assistance with a breaking and entering investigation Friday on West Seminary Street, but officers later told deputies to disregard the request.
