Fireworks show planned for New London

NEW LONDON - Plans are in the works for a special fireworks show at the end of the 100th Firelands Labor Festival in September. The village has budgeted $7,000 for this event, but the final cost is estimated to be $20,000 and the $13,000 difference is needed by June.

NEW LONDON - Plans are in the works for a special fireworks show at the end of the 100th Firelands Labor Festival in September.

The village has budgeted $7,000 for this event, but the final cost is estimated to be $20,000 and the $13,000 difference is needed by June.

Council on Monday initiated an ordinance Monday to allow a transfer of money from the CSX fund to the general fund in case the community effort to raise the additional money falls short.
