UPDATE (2:24 p.m.): Power in Bellevue and the Lyme Township area has been restored.

"As of about 2:10, power was restored to the 1,100 people who were affected," said Tina Norton, deputy director of the Huron County Emergency Management Agency.

ORIGINAL STORY (12:30 p.m.): Power in Bellevue and the Lyme Township area is out.

Tina Norton, deputy director of the Huron County Emergency Management Agency, said it's hoped the power will be back sometime this afternoon.

"It could be an hour; it could be a couple hours," she added.

Power had been out for about four hours as of about 12:30 p.m. today.

Residents who need a warm place to be can go to the Bellevue Rec Center, 110 Cherry Blvd., until 7 p.m.

Norton said the EMA will announce when the power has been restored. Check the Reflector website for updates.
