M'ville teacher Jacquie Hauser earns praise

National Honor Roll has announced Jacquie Hauser of Huron has been accepted as a member of NHR's Outstanding American Teachers for 2005-2006. Hauser, who teaches library/computer at Monroeville Elementary, will appear in the NHR Outstanding American Teachers 2005-2006 Commemorative Edition.

National Honor Roll has announced Jacquie Hauser of Huron has been accepted as a member of NHR's Outstanding American Teachers for 2005-2006.

Hauser, who teaches library/computer at Monroeville Elementary, will appear in the NHR Outstanding American Teachers 2005-2006 Commemorative Edition.

She has been an elementary teacher for 32 years. She is currently the librarian/computer tech instructor at Monroeville Elementary.

Along with being the advisor of the library club and the student council, she designs and regularly updates a very professional, student/parent centered Web site. She is also the school administrator of the reading program Accelerated Reader.

Hauser, who resides in Huron with her husband Jim, was nominated for this award by one of her past students, Ashley Kuhlman.
