A pair of suspected burglars were two of 10 defendants who were arraigned Monday on their respective charges in Huron County Common Pleas Court.

Bellevue residents Christian N. Lewis, 22, of 318 Belle Ave., and Paige L. Richards-Faste, 22, of 617 E. Center St., each are charged with one count of burglary in connection with a Sept. 30 incident. They pleaded "not guilty" Monday to the third-degree felony, which is punishable by nine months to three years in prison.

"The allegation is they went into an occupied structure and committed a theft," said Huron County Assistant Prosecutor Richard Woodruff, who declined to elaborate on the details of the case.

The case was filed originally in Bellevue Municipal Court on Oct. 9. A Huron County grand jury indicted Lewis and Richards-Faste in mid-December, according to court records.

Lewis, who goes to trial April 8, earlier posted 10 percent of a $15,000 bond.

Richards-Faste, whose trial date is April 18, remains out on a personal recognizance bond. That means she signed a court document in which she promised to appear for future hearings without having to post any money.

All 10 defendants who were arraigned Monday appeared on summonses.

In other arraignments, the following suspects pleaded "not guilty" to their respective charges:

n Barry Busek, 58, of 16 E. Main St., Apt. C (rear), Wakeman, goes to trial March 6 on one count each of possession of cocaine and tampering with evidence, both in connection with a July 27 incident.

n Marjorie L. Carroll, 34, of 4475 Seminary St., Wakeman, has a March 27 trial date on possession of heroin in connection with a Sept. 16 incident.

As a condition of the 10 percent of $5,000 bond he earlier posted, Low is prohibited from having any association with the victim.

n Daniel W. Mesnard, 20, of 167 North St., Monroeville, goes to trial March 11 on receiving stolen property in connection with a motor vehicle-related Sept. 4 incident.

n Melinda S. Oney, 46, of 37 Bell St., Bellevue, has a March 13 trial date on theft of drugs in connection with a Nov. 20 incident.

n Samantha T. Robinson, 42, of 169 Beelman St., Plymouth, goes to trial April 1 on theft of drugs in connection with a Nov. 20 incident. The defendant, who earlier posted a $5,000 bond, is prohibited from having any association or communication with the male victim.

n Rick J. Yoder, 41, of 4475 Seminary St., Wakeman, has a March 13 trial date on possession of heroin in connection with a Sept. 16 incident.

With the exception of Lewis, Low, Mesnard and Richards-Faste, each defendant is subject to random drug screens.
