With little fanfare, Norwalk city council adopted the 2014 budget at Tuesday night's meeting.
The happiest person at the meeting was sanitation superintendent Jeff Montgomery upon passage of that budget.
Montgomery was summoned to the meeting by city council members due to requests for a new garbage truck, leaf machine and front-end loader. Montgomery fully expected to be peppered with questions about these requests.
