The Benedict Avenue area will continue to be the focus of construction projects during the next several months.
Columbia Gas crews have been repairing old gas lines.
Today, Summit Street will be closed for gas-line repair work.
"Columbia Gas has been in fixing problem lines," said Josh Snyder, Norwalk public works director.
"This project has been going on for a few weeks and I've been told this Friday they will be done," Snyder added.
Snyder said gas-line crews have run into a couple surprises along the way.
"There was some late-night work," he said. "There was a leak and it needed to be repaired immediately."
