n St. Mary/St. Anthony Catholic

All St. Mary and St. Anthony parishioners are invited to a parish potluck Sunday at St. Anthony Hall following the 10:30 a.m. Mass. Meat and drinks will be provided. Bring a dish to share. “Children and Faith” will be presented by Linda Salmons at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at St. Anthony. She will discuss the responsibility of helping children grow in faith.

n Wakeman St. Mary Catholic

WAKEMAN — This church will hold a scrapbooking fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Feb. 2 at the church social hall, 46 E. Main St.

Cost is $25 for adults for a 6- to 8-foot space and $15 for students for a 3- to 4-foot space. The cost includes light breakfast, lunch and supper. Registration needs to be completed by Jan. 26. Call (440) 839-5151 to register.

n First Baptist, Wakeman

WAKEMAN — This church, committed to The Doctrines of Sovereign Grace, located at 4382 Butler Road, meets for Bible Study at 9:45 a.m. Sunday.

The adult Bible class study, with scriptures from the “1769” edition of the “1611” translation of the Holy Bible, will be from 1 John 2:1-2, “The Advocacy of Christ and The Eternal Security of the Saint.”

This Lord’s Day, the pastor’s begins a new Bible Study series, “The Doctrine of Christ — Christology.” The message during the 10:30 a.m. preaching service will be from John. 1:1-18, “The Pre-existence off Christ.”

n St. Paul Catholic

Children’s Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated at the 9 a.m. Mass and Spanish Mass at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

n Norwalk Baptist

This church, located at U.S. 20 West and Halfway Road, just west of Big Lots, which supports 20 missionary families who share the Gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide, will specifically pray this week for the Nutters in Florida at fairs, Larry Stallings of Bearing Precious Seed and the Cunninghams in Bali.

After the regular 6 p.m. service Sunday, the members will meet for the church’s annual business meeting. The Guardians’ Angels will hold their Jan. 28 potluck meeting at 6 p.m. at the church and will draw new “secret sisters” for 2008. For further details of any kind call the Rev. Dr. Michael J. FITCHVILLE — The church’s youth group — the Christian Crusaders — will be having an all-you-can-eat pancake-and-sausage breakfast at the church from 7 to 11 a.m. Jan. 26. The cost is $6 for adults, $4 for youth 4 to 12 and children under 3 free.

The seventh annual talent and servant auction will be held at noon March 1 at the New London school cafetorium.

n First Presbyterian Church, Norwalk

The Rev. Adrian Doll continues the adult education class “Reformed and Always Reforming” at 9:30 in the Great Room. This class examines the distinctives of Presbyterian theology and the reformed faith. Clair Brewer will conclude the Advent/Epiphany class, “A Clear View of Jesus’ Birth.”

Doll will continue in the January preaching series “Light of the World” during the 10:45 morning worship service. Special music will be presented by the Westminster Voices.

All friends and members of the congregation are asked to return the Habitat for Humanity mission project volunteer profiles no later than Jan. 27.

The Senior High youth group meets tonight at 6 p.m. for a movie and discussion.
