Norwalk resident Dennis Stieber has announced his intention to run for the position of Huron County commissioner.

Stieber, a Democrat, is seeking the seat currently held by Republican Commissioner Joe Hintz. The election will take place in November 2014.

Stieber is employed by the Huron County Auditor's Office, but will be retiring at the end of 2014 after 24 years.

A story about Stieber and his ambitions was published recently in the Norwalk Reflector.

Let me be the first, Good luck Dennis, you will be a very good commissioner. I wonder if Hintz will even run again.

The answer to your question - He's collected a check. That's about it.

Thought that I read that Hintz decided not to run for re-election. Steiber is a heck of a lot smarter than Hintz.

A brick would be a lot smarter than Hintz. LOL
