Wakeman's Chris Lang earns employee award

Chris Lang of Wakeman was honored Friday afternoon with the "Ernie Strow Community Employment Memorial Award" in a special presentation at the Christie Lane Workshop. The award was presented by John Schwartz, general manager at Christie Lane Industries, Inc. Lang has three jobs working four days a week at Friendship Foodmart in Wakeman, two days a week at the workshop and as a seasonal employee at Woodlawn Cemetery. He is the son of Judi and Jesse Lang of Wakeman.

Chris Lang of Wakeman was honored Friday afternoon with the "Ernie Strow Community Employment Memorial Award" in a special presentation at the Christie Lane Workshop.

The award was presented by John Schwartz, general manager at Christie Lane Industries, Inc.

Lang has three jobs working four days a week at Friendship Foodmart in Wakeman, two days a week at the workshop and as a seasonal employee at Woodlawn Cemetery.

He is the son of Judi and Jesse Lang of Wakeman.

"This is a very nice award," his mother said. "We're really proud of him."

When asked how he felt, Chris just smiled.
