N.L. boys admit to vandalism spree

NEW LONDON - Three New London boys, ages 12 to 16, confessed to police to vandalizing Christmas decorations at five village homes Monday. The damage ranged from lighting strings being destroyed to large inflatable globes being slashed. "They were walking around, destroying whatever they wanted. ... We've got about $1,500 worth of damage so far."

NEW LONDON - Three New London boys, ages 12 to 16, confessed to police to vandalizing Christmas decorations at five village homes Monday.

The damage ranged from lighting strings being destroyed to large inflatable globes being slashed. "They were walking around, destroying whatever they wanted. ... We've got about $1,500 worth of damage so far."

After being interviewed, they were released to their parents. The county prosecutor's office is considering charges.
