Medicare Part D open enrollment

Just a reminder the open enrollment period for Medicare Part D drug coverage is Nov. 15 to Dec. 31. During this period, Medicare beneficiaries who do not have a Part D plan can enroll in one, and those who do have coverage can change plans. Beneficiaries that take no action will remain in their current plan, with some exceptions for those who receive the low-income subsidy.

Do you need help navigating through the Medicare Part D Web site? Fisher-Titus Medical Center staff will work one-on-one with seniors to help find information about the plans that best match an individual's current medications. Appointments will take place Tuesdays, Nov. 20 and 27 and Dec. 4 at Fisher-Titus Learning Center at Norwalk High School, 350 Shady Lane Drive, Norwalk.

Blood drive

Fisher-Titus Medical Center, 272 Benedict Ave., Norwalk, will host an American Red Cross Blood Drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 23 in the hospital auditorium. Donors are required to bring a list of medications they are currently taking and an I.D.
