A Norwalk woman has been indicted by a Huron County grand jury on two drug-related felony charges.
Nicole J. Fertig, 23, of 55 N. West St. Apt. 2, was charged with one count of possession of heroin and one count of possession of methadone Friday.
Last October, Fertig made the news when she was charged with public indecency at the Bob Evans parking lot on Milan Avenue about 3:15 p.m. on a Wednesday afternoon.
Several witnesses reported seeing Nicole J. Fertig and Casey Dellisanti, 37, of 240 Ohio 61, having sex in a white GMC truck, Capt. Eric Hipp said. The witnesses estimated the couple were in the truck for 10 to 15 minutes total.
By the time Norwalk police officers arrived, Fertig and Dellisanti were inside the restaurant. Police determined the two were acquaintances.
"It doesn't appear they were boyfriend and girlfriend," Hipp said at the time. "They had been in the restaurant. They had placed a food order, but hadn't received their food yet."
Fertig and Dellisanti were charged with public indecency and released.
On Feb. 20 in Norwalk Municipal Court, Fertig was convicted of disorderly conduct, fined $200 plus $105.55 in court costs and given a 30-day suspended jail sentence. She also is prohibited from entering the property of Bob Evans for two years.
She also is banned from Wal-Mart for two years, following a Feb. 4 theft conviction that resulted in a 20-day jail term and $360 in fines and court costs. Fertig and Edward E. Blair, 36, of 20 Spring St., were caught shoplifting at the Westwind Drive store in late January, Norwalk police said.
