FLORENCE TOWNSHIP — This church’s annual turkey supper will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Ohio 113 location. The cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. The meal is served family-style or carryout. For advance tickets call (440) 965-5895.

n Clarksfield UMC

CLARKSFIELD — The annual Clarksfield United Methodist Church Bazaar is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 10. Bazaar-goers will be able to buy cookies by the pound, other baked goods, crafts, Rada knives, Quick Mix dips, a “grab bag” and other goodies. Lunch will be available all day.

STEUBEN — Sunday is the 22nd Sunday after Pentecost. The scripture lessons, based on the theme “Heartfelt Prayers,” are Joel 2:23-32; Psalm 65; 2 Timothy 4:6-8, 16-18; and Luke 18:9-14.  The Rev. Patricia E. Welch, pastor and teacher, will lead worship during the 11 a.m. service. Large print bulletins will be available.

This Sunday’s service will be morning prayer. The practice of Christian morning prayer came from Jewish heritage. The service of prayer will be based on traditions of early Christian daily public worship.

n St. Joseph/St. Alphonsus

The annual Halloween party at St. Alphonsus will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday.

Masses for All Saints Day will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Alphonsus and at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph.

All Soul’s Day Memorial Mass will be 7 p.m. Nov. 6 at St. Alphonsus.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word is celebrated on Sunday during the 10:30 a.m. Mass.  Babysitting is available at the school.

CLARKSFIELD — This church, located at 5151 Zenobia Road, will have services at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

The Rev. Patty Jo Sheldon’s sermon title is, “The Links to God.”

The United Methodist women are making the final plans for the annual bazaar to be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 10 at the church basement.

MILAN — This church will host its annual community Thanksgiving dinner from noon to 3 p.m. Nov. 10.

n St. Paul Episcopal

Today’s final open-air market at the church has been expanded into a family Harvest Festival featuring Halloween activities, Norwalk safety forces, games, food and more. There will be prizes for carved pumpkins and for costumes after judging at 1 p.m.

The Norwalk police will be offering fingerprinting for children from 2 to 5 p.m. and the fire department will have demonstrations at the same time. A blacksmith is expected as is the police department dog and his handler. Parking is behind the church.

Church school and worship are at 8:30 a.m. Sunday. Members are reminded service time changes to 11 a.m. Nov. 4.

The “Renewal” study group meets at 7 p.m. Thursday at Benedict Chapel. Communion service at Twlight Gardens is at 11:15 a.m. Friday.

n Norwalk Baptist

This church, located on U.S. 20 just west of Big Lots at Halfway Road, will host a “Hallelujah” party at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church for all the children in King’s Kids.  The kids will dress up as their favorite Bible characters with adults judging the best costume in each age category. Parents are welcome to share the children’s fun.  Refreshments will follow. Children in the community who are interested in becoming a part of the weekly King’s Kids 7 p.m. Wednesday program are welcome to participate.  This week prayers are for the Amazing Grace Fair Ministry, the Matamis’ ministry in the Philippines, and Larry Stallings’ Bearing Precious Seed ministry. n St. Mary/St. Anthony

The sacrament of anointing of the sick will be celebrated before Mass at both parishes this weekend. At St. Anthony, the sacrament will be celebrated at 4 p.m. today and 8 a.m. Sunday. At St. Mary, the sacrament will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Sunday.

Masses for All Saints Day, a holy day of obligation, will be celebrated at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony and at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary.

n Milan Baptist

MILAN — The 19th annual Harvest Party will take place from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the church, located at 5199 Old State Road.

The party is a free, carnival-style event with lots of games, prizes, hayrides, corn hole, cotton candy and on-site pressed cider. There will also be a junior race car where  children can get their picture taken in.

n First Presbyterian, Norwalk

The new adult education class, “Faith on Trial,” continues at 9:30 a.m. Sunday in the Great Room with facilitator Tom Root. During the 10:45 a.m. Sunday service, the church will observe Reformation Sunday and the fall class of new members will be received into the membership of the church. Pledge cards for the 2008 budget will be received and dedicated. Guest preacher Hilary Shuford, general presbyter of Maumee Valley Presbytery, will give the morning sermon “Faith Alone.”

Thursday, All Saints Day, is a holy day of obligation. Masses will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday and 6:15, 8:30, 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Thursday.  

n Wakeman St. Mary

WAKEMAN — This church will be having a spaghetti dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. today.  The menu is spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, “surprise” dessert and beverage. The cost is $5 per person; children under 4 are free.

The Deanery-wide RCIA will be meeting at Wakeman St. Mary from noon to 2 p.m. Nov. 4, 11, 18 in the social hall. A light lunch will be provided.

The annual rummage and bake sale will be Nov. 8, 9, 10. Hours for the sale will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 8 and 9 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 10. The drawing for the apartment/store doll house and the canopied baby bed will be held at about 2 p.m. Nov. 10.
