CLARIFICATION

A story about the race to replace the late U.S. Rep. Paul E. Gillmor reported that there are nine candidates running in the Nov. 6 primary election. Democrat Earl Campbell dropped out of the race, while Republican Michael Reynolds did not have enough ballot signatures. That leaves Democrats George P. Mays and Robin Weirauch as well as Republicans Steve Buehrer, Mark Hollenbaugh, Robert E. Latta, Fred Pieper and Michael Smitley seeking the spot. A Dec. 11 special election involving the primary winners and any Independent and/or write-in candidate(s) will determine Gillmor's successor.
