WAKEMAN - October is going to be a busy month at the Wakeman Community Library, starting at 10 a.m. Tuesday with Exercise with Arthritis made Simple and Easy (EASE) continuing each Tuesday throughout the month.

At 6:30 p.m. Oct. 2, the family reading night theme will be "Monsters." The program will last 45 minutes and children under 3 must attend with a parent. Another family reading night will be held Oct. 16, when the topic will be "Safety First."

The movie "Haunted Mansion" will be shown at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 12, and all ages are invited to see this PG-rated film and have some popcorn.

Oct. 14 to 20 is Teen Read Week, and teens are invited to stop by the library, check out what's new and sign up for a chance to win a digital camera.

A card party will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 15, and adults are invited to learn some new card games in the community room. Refreshments will be served.

The Friends of the Library will meet at 7 p.m. Oct. 22, and at 6 p.m. the following Wednesday, the staff will show the movie "Hocus Pocus." Children age 5 and up will enjoy this PG-rated movie, making a Halloween craft and eating spooky snacks.
