Reflector contest winners named

Six lucky winners were selected at the Norwalk Reflector's Huron County Fair booth and will receive three-month gift subscriptions to the paper. Winners were:

Six lucky winners were selected at the Norwalk Reflector's Huron County Fair booth and will receive three-month gift subscriptions to the paper.

Winners were:

Bette Graffice, Carol Thompson, Clyde Anderson, Jim Doughty, Kimberly Kovach and Shelli McGue.

The Reflector also polled fair-goers throughout the week. Here is a sampling of results:

Q: Are you satisfied with the education your child is getting?

Yes. Maplehurst and Main Street School are the smoothest run schools in the district.

Yes. Very impressed with the staff and teachers at Maplehurst. Very concerned teachers.

No. Too many sports and other activities at South Central.

Yes. Greenfield Elementary.

No. Need to give more money in taxes for the schools.

Yes. Home school ... it's the best way.

Yes. The teachers at Western Reserve always listen and communicate with the parents.

Q: Do you miss harness racing at the Huron County Fair?

Yes: Tradition past and present is important to teach our children. We are and agricultural-based community. We need to uphold our citizen base.

Yes. It was a very big mistake ... it ruined the fair.

Yes. I think it might be safer than the ATV races.

Yes. Harness racing has always bee a part of the fair. It's what fairs are all about.
