Dr. Harwood named vice president

Dr. Jeff Harwood of Norwalk was installed as vice president of The Ohio Academy of Family Physicians on Aug. 11 during its All Members Assembly at Cherry Valley Lodge in Newark. Harwood had served as treasurer of the association. Harwood maintains a private practice in New London and North Fairfield, and has been on the medical staff of Fisher-Titus Medical Center since 1989. He has been the Huron County Coroner since 1996 and is a board member of the Ohio State Coroners Association.

The Ohio Academy of Family Physicians is a statewide professional association with more than 4,400 members, including practicing physicians, family practice residents and medical students. The scope of family medicine encompasses all ages, both sexes, and every disease entity. Family physicians provide comprehensive, continuing care to all members of the family.
