A convicted drug dealer on probation has been jailed, accused of violating her probation by possessing heroin.

Chelsey M. McCullough, 23, of New London, will remain in the Huron County Jail until her merits hearing on April 29.

Defense attorney David Longo requested a "reasonable bond" for McCullough.

But Huron County Assistant Prosecutor Daivia Kasper requested the defendant be held without bond, citing her new charge of possessing heroin and testing positive for opiates.

Kasper also said McCullough has been on community control sanctions since November.

Huron County Common Pleas Judge Jim Conway said Kasper's request was reasonable.

A jury, after two full days of testimony, found McCullough guilty of two counts each of selling heroin and morphine. The jurors deliberated for about two hours and 20 minutes.

"She couldn't go to prison because she didn't have the pre-existing conditions for it," Leffler said, referring to McCullough not having any prior felony convictions.

McCullough's co-defendant and former live-in boyfriend, Scott A. Shuker, 27, of 16782 Township Road 136, Bellevue, was sentenced to 30 days in the Huron County Jail on the work release program.

Whiskey Tango F...

just turn her loose and save the time and trouble. How fun would it be to live the life of an officer who arrested these slime balls and then sees them at the grocery store a week later while shopping with his kids and wife? Just give this girl the key to the city and let her marry the Noller guy. We deserve what these people have become.

She is cute....they should start posting phone numbers...

NotAHappyCamper

She is a junkie who has two kids that she doesn't have custody of. Get a closer look and you will see the scars on her face from her picking at herself, and that she had them use a facebook picture of herself for the paper so that you wouldnt see how old and run-down she looks from the drug use. Yep, shes a winner. If that is the kind of woman you are looking for then you shouldn't have trouble finding anyone in this town....at all.

This county has got to be the biggest joke when it comes to " community based drug rehab" Every other day there's someone in here that's been in the so called rehab place...It's not working, time to build smaller prison with less security for these druggies. Something surely needs to be done about this
