Andrew F. Olaniyan, 33, whose address was unavailable, was charged with disorderly conduct in connection with refusing to leave a North Pleasant Street apartment Tuesday. He was held in the city jail until sober.

Mark A. Smith, 43, whose address was unavailable, was charged with an open container violation in connection with a Milan Avenue traffic stop Tuesday.

A local resident accused a male suspect of violating a temporary protection order involving her daughter Tuesday.

A local resident reported the theft of a red mountain bike Tuesday from the Norwalk Public Library. The incident remains under investigation.

An area motorist reported a shopping cart hit her van in a Westwind Drive business parking lot Tuesday and the female suspect left the scene in a red Pontiac Grand Am. The incident remains under investigation.

An East Monroe Street resident reported domestic violence Tuesday.

Larry D. Peeples, 29, of 1785 Greenwich Townline Road, was arrested on a warrant Tuesday and charged with failure to pay fines and costs. He is serving a four-day sentence at the Huron County Jail.

A Spring Street resident reported the theft of her Pioneer car stereo face plate from her 1998 Volkswagen Jetta today.

An area construction worker reported the theft of OSB flooring and some drywall during an Aug. 7 incident on Zenobia Road.

Residents on Butler Road, Wakeman, and Plank Road, Norwalk, reported suspected prowlers Tuesday.

Kevin J. King, 30, of 4280 Pleasant St., Willard, was arrested on two warrants Tuesday and charged with failure to report to jail. He is serving a 20-day sentence at the Huron County Jail.

An area resident reported someone broke into his wife's vehicle at a Cleveland Road business Tuesday.

A Hanford Road, Wakeman, resident reported a suspicious pedestrian Tuesday.

An East U.S. 20, Wakeman, resident reported her son ran away Tuesday and took a taxi to Parma.

A Section Line Road 30, Willard, reported the theft of a tree stand Tuesday. The complainant said there appeared to be "'good' fingerprints" and wondered if a deputy could dust them.

Ryan E. Lewis, 28, of Shelby, was charged with driving with a suspended license during a Spangler Street, Willard, traffic stop Tuesday.

Dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call from the Erie County Sheriff's Office about a domestic dispute Tuesday on North Ohio 99, Monroeville.

An Ohio 99, Willard, resident reported finding a bag on fire on her back steps when she answered a knock on the door Tuesday.

An area resident reported her son was assaulted Tuesday at the Huron County Fairgrounds.

NORWALK FIRE

Responded to a machine on fire at 8:33 a.m. Tuesday at 180 Cleveland Road. The fire, that did about $2,500 worth of damage, was contained to the interior of the machine. Returned to station at 9:24.

Called to assist North Central EMS with a patient with chest pains at 10:26 p.m. Tuesday, but the situation was under control when firefighters arrived. Returned to station at 10:28.
